This educational event features a living history type of atmosphere in which World War II history interpreters perform a reenactment of the daily duties that took place on the USS North Carolina, including drills.
The USS North Carolina is located across the river from the downtown region of Wilmington, North Carolina. The ship was used in combat during World War II. It is restored to its original appearance and is open for tours. Guests to the battleship gain valuable insight into what life was like aboard the USS North Carolina during the Second World War, and visitors during the Battleship Alive event can see the day-to-day operations of the ship as if they were aboard this ship in the 1940s.
