Christmas Towne at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, SC

The Myrtle Beach Convention Centre at the Myrtle Beach is the most popular meeting point for all the conventions, festivals, exhibitions, events that take place around the calendar year. The centre is housed in a whooping 100,800 square foot exhibit hall that hosts live performances, sporting events, weddings and many popular shows.

It can accommodate around10,000 people at one time and the space can be converted into smaller halls if required. There is a huge ballroom which can house about 1600 people and there is an in house arrangement for food and beverages. The convention boasts of all the comforts with its fabulous facilities including the outdoor plaza that bursts to life in the month of December.

Though Myrtle Beach Convention centre hosts many events around the year, the Christmas season, that is Decemeber, is when the locals and tourists together with their families to enjoy the wonderland called Christmas Towne.

The Plaza converts into a charming, fairytale like atmosphere for the Christmas Towne event. The winter village like ambiance enchants the toddlers and elders alike.

Created specifically with children in mind, the activities are designed in such a way that everyone can have a great time. The children can give their wish list to Santa, get their face painted, ride ponies and take part in the special story sessions.

You can watch live performances by school kids, play basketball, and watch the Tree lightning ceremony. For hungry kids there are unlimited stalls selling lip- smacking treats, chocolates, soda, all time favourite cotton candy and ice creams. The best part of the event is that the entry is absolutely free.
