Located in Georgetown, South Carolina, the Kaminski House is a historic house that overlooks the Sampit River. The house was constructed in 1769 and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. This estate now serves as a museum and is full of historic antiques including furniture. It is affiliated with the Stewart parker House, which is located on the same property and is also open for tours.
The house was built on a Bluff, and visitors can look out the windows in the Kaminski House and get beautiful views of the Sampit River. The other side of the home faces the street. The house was built a successful merchant in South Carolina by the name of Paul Trapier. Mr. Trapier is often referred to as “The King of Georgetown,” a moniker reflecting his success as the wealthiest merchant in the area. The home has remained in the family for many years.
