Considered one of the top Motorcycle Rallies on the East Coast, and possibly the 3rd largest motorcycle event in the United States, Myrtle Beach's "Myrtle Beach Bike Week" has over 300,000 visitors in the area every second week of May--spread along a 60-mile coastline with over 80,000 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts. Considered one of the most popular of biker's destinations, events in the entire county focus on this one event—from Wilmington, NC to Charleston SC—making for a fun time and great riding destinations with a couple hundred vendors to rent or buy anything in the bike field, and then some.
With a 68-year history, the Myrtle Beach Bike Week has been rapidly expanding into surrounding areas, with Myrtle Beach Poker Run Tours adding to the excitement of it all—and any biker knows any organized motorcycle event is nothing without a poker run. Or to see Antique & Vintage Motorcycles on Display, visit the Ragtops & Roadsters Auto Museum to take a journey back in time. Major city wide events include a swap meet, live bands, stunt shows, a rock n' roll fashion show, raffles, tattoo contest, a memorial poker run with all free admission.
With excellent online ratings, compliments are always given to Dead Dog Saloon in Murrell's Inlet, along with Dick's Crab Shack. Additional popular events are the
Dixie Stampede,
Carolina Opry, Alabama Theatre,
Legends in Concert, and the Comedy Cabana. The Dog House South offers food cooked outside on a grill, with outside bands at Broadway and the Beach. The motorcycle rodeo offers trophies for the brave ones, or visit the Rat Hole in Socastee. Whatever a person does, count on a lot of bikes and a lot of noise, with a whole lot of fun.
